Round is a shape

You know, it just does not get any easier now does it. You get older and gravity takes over and you end up with junk in your trunk or a hump where there is not suppose to be one. Of course, I am talking about the struggle to stay healthy and fit. Everywhere that you turn there is another temptation or hamburger joint with the newest, greatest, best-tasting concoction this side of Colonel Sanders land. And the more we seem to enjoy, the more meds we seem to need. Healthy eating has gone the way of the snow shovel and rubber boots. They still exist but are rarely used. The most recent study in Canada put New Brunswick at the top of the obesity scale and North Americans are way out there compared to any other part of the world. Is it also a coincidence that we have the most fast food joints and drive thru ’s, even though we represent about 5% of the world’s population. The part that gets me most, is that we are among the richest on the planet yet we eat the worst.  I see sick people all the time who would give all their wealth back if they could only get better. So the next time the Doc tells you to get in shape, you can either do it or tell him “Round is a shape”.
