Bragging rights
The urge to give ‘er is as famous on the Miramichi as rice is for supper in China. The passion and pursuit of life are in all of us but some are better examples of it than most. Letting other people know that you are happy with your lot in life and that you are willing to share your happiness is truly a gift worth giving.
I have always believed that growing up where I did, I had the chance to enjoy the “very best”. We are a great example of what it means to be a Canadian. We represent all that is right in the world and we always persevere through thick and thin, we may be down but we sure are never out. We lead by example and yes, sometimes with our fists raised.
It was a year ago that Canada was on center stage when we hosted the Olympics and boy did we shine. Our neighbors to the south have no real knowledge of who we are, and what we are all about, but they sure knew when it was all over. Humble in defeat, and gracious in victory, we are not to be messed with.
