My husband went to meet with Mr. Daley and came home with the decision that he wanted Joe to be responsible for our money. I was both shocked and interested, as my husband had never before showed any interest in making decisions regarding our finances. I agreed to meet with Joe, still planning to take the money back to the bank where it would be safe.

A couple of weeks later, my husband and I met with Joe Daley at his Miramichi office. I was very up front at the beginning of the meeting in regards to my concerns about the safety of my husband’s pension funds and why I felt the best place for them was the bank.

He addressed my concerns weighing out pros and cons. He said he arranges to meet with his clients yearly to adjust their plans to the adjustment of their lives. I thought to myself, the bank has never offered to see us and our lives changed a lot. He offered to do a financial analysis for us to see where we stood in regards to retirement and he may be able to ease our present financial strain. You see, we met with Joe about 21 months after the birth our daughter and 1 year after my husband lost his job.

I had previously met with our banker shortly after my husband’s job was gone to see if she could offer us some suggestions on how to adjust to our new financial situation. I left the bank, the “safe” bank, feeling worse than when I went in. No help was offered, despite both of us having excellent credit and our interest rates were through the roof. Joe said he could help us, but I had my doubts after all the bank couldn’t.

Shortly thereafter, Joe came to our home in the evening to discuss our options. He made everything very clear. He could help us. Our retirement was safe. I was still waiting for him to pressure us to buy an RRSP from him, or some insurance or something. He had done so much for us, how was he going to get his money for it??

Joe told us that given our present situation, all we needed was a financial lift. So he referred us to a colleague to consolidate our debts, making our monthly payments less. He didn’t suggest buying anything from him. He offered to meet with us again after my husband returns to work and our finances get back on track. We were shocked. No pressure to cancel our other insurances and invest with him, no pressure to buy and RRSP we couldn’t afford to pay for. No pressure.

Our experience with Joe Daley was exceptional. We look forward to continuing our financial future with him. Trusting in his expertise, experience, and advice.
